Is this me? No, it's pretty and I'm a japan weeb, get used to it peeps!

When I was a little girl, I wanted to blog. I wanted to write about everything that I did in my life and my little brain was convinced that everyone would want to know about it.

Well it's 20 years later, very little has happened and I'm terrified of being the centre of attention or to have the slightest inkling that someone is judging me.

Go figure.

So hi! 👋 My name is Krystal, I live in sunny Queensland, Australia. I live with my partner and my wonderful little dog (ask me about her at your peril, I have no stop button). I love tea - plain and basic please like me - walking outside for the daily dose of vitamin D, crochet, video games in long intense bursts, reading, and japanese aesthetics. I'm learning the language but it's slow going.

And I have a dream of picking up my book from a bookstore one day.

I must do a lot of writing to have a dream like that huh? Well....

I wrote a couple of short stories in high school but once I was released I wanted money and I wanted it now, and I didn't see a way for short stories to do that for me so guess who jumped off that bandwagon in a hurry.

I would have successfully left that life for good too if it wasn't for those damn meddling characters in my head. Two to be specific, bantering constantly and evolving over the years to have completely different looks and story roles, but yet the same annoying personality.

So screw it, lets start again shall we?

I am currently taking the Reedsy Write a Novel course while brainstorming these characters current iterations. I'll do a proper blog post for my Story idea/WIP as it evolves and shall link it here.

I'll post my writing journey here, as well as helpful information that I have accrued over the years through the usual hellsites, and when I need time to relax I'll post some fun free crochet patterns for us to try together. Nothing like preventing Arthritis in the wrists by encouraging it in the fingers. And why not, I'll add a monthly read review post as well as anything that can be seen as interesting in my life. Look forward to seeing this rough mug around.
